Let’s get you ready for your first or returning ski/ snowboard trip abroad. We will get everyone ready to feel confident in the mountains. Here at The Hill if you are planning a skiing holiday then look no further we have lots of courses, lessons and groups for all ages and abilities. If this is your first ski holiday or you just want to refresh before hitting the snow, there is something for everyone.
First skiing holiday why not try a Ski Taster?
Our ski tasters are perfect for those looking to try out skiing, and ready to learn for their first skiing holiday. Ideal as lessons take place on our beginner slope, which is only 25 metres long. All equipment is included, and our friendly instructor is always with you every step of the way. This 50-minute lesson is designed to get you used to your skis and comfortable using the ski lift and slope.

– Learning balance.
– Learning to use the ski lift

Already had a ski taster session or you know that skiing is definitely for you! Jump straight on to our skiing
Skiing Beginner courses
This course is great for beginners, you don’t need to have completed a ski taster to join, jump right on to one of our courses to start your skiing journey.
– Build on controlling your speed and direction
– Bending knee correctly
– Develop balance and posture
– Start to turn
– Introduced to snowplough
– Intro to changing direction and steering
– Start on our beginner slope and move to our improver slope
Sessions can be either over 2 days – 1 hour 50 mins or 4 days once a week – 50 mins sessions.
Improver Skiing courses
Moving on to these from your beginner course or if you already have some beginner skiing experience at another slope and would like to improve your skiing skills.
– Develop quality turns on longer runs.
– Link your snowplough turns
– Be able to control speed and direction
– Move to the main slope
– Develop the plough parallel technique whilst controlling your speed
– Sessions can take place on improver or main slope depending on experience and confidence.
Sessions can be either over 2 days – 1 hour 50 mins or 4 days once a week – 50 mins sessions.
