Never skied before & want to try?
We have 3 ski slopes, beginner, intermediate and our main slope with our tasters and beginner course take place on our beginner slope.
If you’re new to skiing or want to give it a try, our ski tasters are only 50 minute and start on our beginner slope. If you definitely want to kick start your skiing journey then jump right on to a beginner courses at The Hill are the perfect starting point. Designed to build confidence and teach essential skills, these sessions are held on our ski slope in Lancashire. With friendly, professional instructors and a supportive atmosphere, you’ll quickly find your feet and discover the joy of skiing.

Had a ski taster or want to start learning straight away?
For those with some skiing experience, The Hill offers both beginner courses and improver courses designed to take your skills to the next level. These courses are very flexible and can be taken over 2 days as 1 hour 50 mins session or over 4 days once a week for 50 mins session.
Our beginner course is perfect if you’re looking to build confidence or polish your foundational techniques, while the improver course focuses on refining control, balance, and speed on our ski slope in Lancashire. With expert instructors and a welcoming environment, you’ll be ready to tackle more challenging slopes in no time.

Looking for 1-1 ski lessons?
Our private skiing lessons are tailored to you here at The Hill, the leading ski slope in Lancashire. Our one-on-one or small-group sessions are designed to suit your unique needs, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine advanced techniques. With personalized instruction from our experienced coaches, you’ll enjoy focused guidance and faster progress.

Need a refresh before heading off on a skiing holiday?
Our Coaching sessions will help improve your skiing & give tips from one of our top instructors. This is a great way to enjoy your skiing in a friendly relaxed group. It is designed to allow anyone to drop in at any time during the evening.

On Sundays only, grab a private lesson for 2 for only £80. Save £25.
Things you need to know
Aim to arrive 15 minute before the arrival time of your session, to give ample time to get prepared for your session with us.
Do you supply the equipment?
We supply all the equipment you need for all sessions – skis, snowboards, boots, and helmets are included.
What do I need to wear?
Gloves, pants and long sleeved top must be worn for skiing and snowboarding.
Gloves are compulsory. We are happy for you to bring your own or we have pairs available to purchase at reception for £3 or you can add them at time of booking via our website.
Are helmets compulsory?
Helmet are available on site. Under 16 year olds must wear a helmet when skiing and snowboarding.
Is there changing facilities?
Yes we have an open changing facilities where clothes and bags can be left. We have also free lockers and changing cubicles in our ski hire area.
Are there any age restrictions?
Skiing is available for children aged 5 and up. Snowboarding is open to those aged 8 and older. Tubing sessions are suitable for ages 5 and above. Airsoft shooting is available for participants aged 8 and up.
Is there parking?
Yes! We provide free parking to all visitors. Our address is The Hill Haslingden Old Rd, Rossendale BB4 8RR.
