Ladies Morning Ski Club at Ski Rossendale: Beginner Intake
Are you ready to hit the slopes but don’t know where to start? The Ladies Morning Ski Club at Ski Rossendale is the perfect place to begin your skiing journey! Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refresh your skills, this supportive and welcoming group offers a fun environment for women of all ages and abilities.
Our Beginner Intake, starting on Friday, 11th October, is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to learn the basics of skiing in a relaxed, all-female setting. Over the course of four weeks, you’ll gain confidence on the slopes as our experienced instructors guide you through essential skiing techniques, safety tips, and slope etiquette.

What will I learn?
- Ski etiquette – get comfortable with your skis, learn to move flat on the skis and learn side step, and learn to run on the beginner slope.
- Snowplough in a straight line, and learn to bend your knees correctly
- Make basic snowplough turns
- Start to learn to control speed and direction by developing good balance and posture.
What do I need to know before arriving for my session?
We supply all the equipment you will need for your session including skis, boots, and helmets if you need them.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your session starts this gives you plenty of time to get prepared for your sessions.
We have free lockers and changing facilities on-site for you to use. You will need to wear pants and a long-sleeved top as well as gloves for your skiing lessons. You are more than welcome to bring your own gloves we have some available on-site for you to buy for £3
Getting to us couldn’t be easier, if you drive we are just off the A56. And a large free car park is available on site. If you are traveling via public transport we are on Rossendale’s frequent bus routes, if you are traveling from Blackburn, 481 Irwell Line, and x41 Red Express. We are on the direct line for the number 11 Rossendale Rovers line which will drop you off straight outside our slopes. Get directions here
Your instructor will meet you at Ski Hire and you will head to the slopes.

What’s next after the beginner course?
If you enjoy your beginner course why not continue your skiing and come and visit us every Friday morning at Ladies Morning 10am till 12pm, an informal drop-in session for all ladies that can ski, with our professional and expert female instructors. So you can build on your skills from the beginner course and get advice. Pre book online or just turn up.
