As a ski slope, there’s nothing quite like the excitement of welcoming new skiers to our slopes. The Snowsport England Level 1 Ski Instructor Course is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring instructors to begin their journey in the world of snowsports. Find out more about our ski slope here 

What the Course Entails

The Level 1 ski instructor course is designed to equip participants with the foundational skills needed to teach skiing to beginners. It includes:

  • Training: A minimum of 12 hours of instruction at a local ski centre.

  • Mentorship: Working alongside experienced instructors to develop coaching abilities.

  • Assessment: Demonstrating the ability to run a safe coaching session and showcasing personal skiing proficiency.

This award is designed for instructors working with recreational skiers at indoor slopes or artificial slopes. These skiers can range from complete novices to those who are ready to learn parallel steering and ready to become more specialised in their development.

Course Dates: Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th of May | 10am – 5pm

Course Fee: £225 – Includes first year membership*

Requirements:

  • A minimum age of 16 
  • Be able to ski sufficiently well to cover the practical contents of the course
  • Be able to show linked parallel steering
